Hi friend – It’s Blakely, Janelle’s campaign manager, here with a quick campaign update.

There’s been so much happening here on the ground over the past few months (town halls, house parties, candidate forums – you name it!) and with 2024 shaping up to be just as busy, I just wanted to reach out with the three most important things to know about our election right now.

1. This is a pure TOSS UP seat. Numerous non-partisan election forecasters have deemed our race a pure toss up – meaning it could go either way on Election Day. If we’re being honest, the fate of this election could come down to only a handful of votes. That’s why having the resources to reach and turn out every single voter is so important.
    
2. Extreme Republican dark money groups are going to target our campaign. National Republicans and their far-right dark money backers have already signaled that keeping OR-05 red is an absolute priority for them. We know we’ll be up against millions of dollars worth of GOP attack ads next year.
    
3. The path back to the Democratic House Majority runs through Oregon’s 5th. Our ability to stop the extreme MAGA Majority and ensure Congress can actually pass meaningful legislation on healthcare, education, reproductive rights, climate change prevention, and so much more hinges on our district flipping blue. With everything we care about on the line, we absolutely can’t afford to fall short here.
