Yesterday, Texas Governor Abbott announced that our May runoff election will be delayed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Instead of risking the health and safety of Texans going to the polls, the runoff election will take place on July 14.
A hard but smart decision. We're in a new world where the balance of our collective survival and solvency hang in the balance. No one should be forced to choose between participating in our democracy and their health.
