Dear District 6 Community Members and Friends,
We have 109 days to the April 30th Primary!
Our campaign has been busy making calls to residents, and hosting coffees at district 6 senior facilities and centers discussing the special election and just what the job will entail. I have learned so much from these conversations – I am also excited about the incredible support we are receiving from these meetings! Our campaign leaves feeling energized and ready to keep up the work to win this election!
Last week I was able to attend the Excelsior Rotary with my friend, as a former Rotarian myself -- it was so nice to meet so many great people over breakfast! We heard from Minnetonka Superintendent David Law about the remarkable innovation happening in Minnetonka Public Schools. I have been honored with work with Superintendent Law over the years on education policy including the Read Act.
This weekend we have several coffees and events hosting by community members! These small gatherings provide a great informal opportunity to bring friends and neighbors together to learn about the race over coffee or wine – also for me to hear from you!
Interested in hosting a small gathering? Please contact Cole, my campaign manager at: [email protected].
DFL Caucuses is only a month away on Tuesday, February 27th at 7pm!
District 6 community members will have caucuses at these 5 different locations:
- Valley View Middle School
- Hopkins High School
- Mound Westonka High School
- Eden Prairie High School
- Eisenhower Community Center
You can count on our campaign having a presence at each location -- I hope to see many of you! You can learn more about caucus from the Secretary of State's website here: http://https://www.sos.state.mn.us/elections-voting/how-elections-work/precinct-caucuses/

A reminder, District 6 includes:

The District 6 special election has attracted a fantastic group of dedicated residents that have raised their hand to run for the open seat. I have a deep respect for each one of these individuals as the act of running for office says so much about your character and commitment to your community. As a few of these individuals have suspended their campaigns, I want to thank them for their dedication to democracy and for their willingness to serve. Running for office is not easy by any means. At the end of this election, more than anything -- my hope is we can unite around our shared values whether that is around housing, environmental concerns, mental health, and advance public safety.
Campaigns have the great ability to instill hope in what we can accomplish to improve our communities together. I am honored to be in this race and to run alongside so many talented and dedicated individuals.
Together, we can do great things.

P.S. Our campaign kick off was a success! If you missed it -- please consider donating today at the link below. Your donations are needed to run this campaign and will go to helping purchase materials, pay staff and fund a campaign that is focused on positive, issues based community building!
