As we reflect on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the impact of its loss weighs heavy on our nation. It is a time to remember, mourn, and look toward the future.

For decades, the court consistently upheld Roe v. Wade as a settled law until the summer of 2022. The consequences have been devastating for communities across the nation — we must continue fighting back against anti-choice extremists.

People all over America have stood up against extreme anti-choice measures. States like Kansas, Colorado, Michigan, and many others have taken steps to protect their residents. Roe was not the beginning of our movement, nor will it be the end.

For my entire career, I've been fighting to protect reproductive freedom and ensure EVERY woman has the right to make a decision about abortion for herself. Even before Roe was overturned, I led the charge to codify Roe's protections. The fight is not over, and I promise to continue advocating for your reproductive rights.

In celebrating the historic Roe v. Wade decision, we must stand in sisterhood and defend the rights of those who came before us, those who stand beside us, and the ones yet to come.
