John, This week showed us two stark contrasts. The first, a story of official corruption: U.S. Senators used insider knowledge of the coronavirus to turn a profit. Publicly, Senators urged caution and downplayed the threat of COVID-19, while privately they sold millions of dollars in stocks to protect their wealth. And the second, a mother living in Brenham, an historic rural town in our district. As the New York Times explained, she is missing meals to feed her six children. While DC insiders stay rich, the people of this district are struggling.
We need representatives in Washington who will stand up and put the needs of that Texas mother before any stock portfolio. Fighting for you, "> |
