Right now, millions of Americans are battling to preserve their health and financial stability amidst a global pandemic.

In January, U.S. Senators Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler were briefed by the Trump Administration of the impending damage COVID-19 would cause before it was public information.

Instead of taking proactive action to protect the American people, they sold off millions in stock ahead of the market crash they knew was coming.

Then, they joined President Trump in downplaying the seriousness of COVID-19 and our nation’s ability to respond to it.

Politicians who worry more about their private wealth than the well-being of the Americans who elected them aren’t in Congress to serve the public -- they’re there to serve their own interests.

This cannot stand. Period. And it’s time for Richard Burr and Kelly Loeffler to go. Sign on to demand Sens. Burr and Loeffler’s resignations for using insider trading to profit off of a health crisis:

Where I come from, when our neighbors are in need -- we step up and help out. We do our job as elected officials.

I’m working around the clock in Congress to pass legislation that will mitigate the impacts on America’s families, seniors, and workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, including the bipartisan Families First Coronavirus Response Act that was just signed into law on Wednesday.

Americans deserve to be able to count on their elected representatives, especially during times like this.
