BLM Aftermath: Washington, D.C.
The Myth Behind the Movement

In our final chapter, “BLM: Washington, DC – The Myth Behind The Movement,” we examine the protests in DC and the dawning realization that the aftermath of George Floyd’s death was, at its heart, a missed opportunity. While the BLM national organization raised millions of dollars, the local chapters – and other community organizations already working on similar community efforts – saw little to none of the money raised. Instead, BLM engaged in fraud, misdirection, and political activism rather than addressing societal problems. It ultimately led to their reputational demise and extreme discord and damage in the nation’s capital.

American Muslims Should
Denounce Hamas

While the world wonders how its youth has been so corrupted as to engage in pro-Hamas demonstrations – even going so far as to laud Osama bin Laden on social media apps like TikTok – Western Muslims free from the constant threat of Hamas have said virtually nothing to condemn the terrorist group’s actions against innocent Israelis on October 7. The only way Hamas and its violent extremism will go out of style is if free people of all religions condemn the barbarism of Hamas’s behavior in Israel. If and when Muslim leaders in the West condemn and rebut Hamas, a peaceful anti-Hamas message can seep into the Middle East, sowing the seeds for better leadership, even in the Palestinian territories. It starts with Muslim-Americans speaking up and holding the pro-Hamas infrastructure accountable for the terrorist group’s actions, just as they did 20 years ago following 9/11.
