Dear John,

The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) Hollywood Bureau proudly announces the Doris Duke Foundation as a key funder of The Muslim House™ for entertainment industry events such as the Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca film festivals. Made possible through their generous grant of $1,425,000, this recognition of the work of the MPAC Hollywood Bureau underscores the shared commitment to elevating American Muslim voices in the entertainment industry. Established by the MPAC Hollywood Bureau in 2021, The Muslim House™ stands as a dedicated space for vital discussions that hold significance for American Muslim communities.

The MPAC Hollywood Bureau extends its gratitude to the board and staff of the Doris Duke Foundation for their generous gift. In particular, we would like to thank Sam Gill, President and CEO of the Doris Duke Foundation, for his leadership and commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the arts. We would like to also thank Zeyba Rahman, Director of the Building Bridges Program, for her vision and instrumental role in facilitating this collaboration.

The announcement was made on Sunday night at The Muslim House™ activation at this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The event brought together industry leaders, filmmakers, activists, and supporters. You can read more about the initiative in The Hollywood Reporter.
