Yesterday was the anniversary of the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. It was a ruling that secured access to abortion care throughout the country. But instead of it being a cause for celebration, it’s a painful reminder of the shocking ruling that overturned it.

New Jersey has long been a bastion of choice for this country. In the wake of Roe’s Overturning, Governor Phil Murphy reaffirmed this stance on behalf of the Garden State: “While others throughout the country are revoking a woman’s right to reproductive freedom, New Jersey will continue to defend this fundamental right in our state.”

The New Jersey Dems are committed to upholding the right to choose and will stand firmly against any and all measures that threaten it.

We are unequivocal in protecting the right to reproductive care in New Jersey, but we’re also disappointed that such a decision isn’t left to the only two parties whose opinion should matter – the person seeking care and the healthcare professional providing it.
