Friend, There’s no doubt about it – this has been a challenging week as Hoosiers and as Americans. But as we make changes to protect our most vulnerable Hoosiers from the coronavirus, know that there is hope. Governor Holcomb said it himself:
“Indiana has pulled together during these last few days and weeks unlike very few other times in our state's history. And so I'm proud of how strong Indiana is. We are pointed in the right direction. We need everyone to stay focused.” And staying focused is just what Governor Holcomb is doing – which is why he announced this week that he signed an executive order to move Indiana’s primary election from May 5 to June 2. Our right to elect our leaders is a cornerstone of America – and Governor Holcomb is working to protect that right, while balancing it with the safety of county employees, poll workers and voters. In addition to moving Primary Day by a month, any registered voter will be able to vote by mail with an absentee ballot during the primary. Please continue to keep an eye on your inbox, as your Holcomb Crew will keep you updated during these times. And just remember –
“The things you think are little have a huge impact on where we will be 24, 36, 48 hours from now.” -Gov.
