Hi friend,
I know it’s in the name, but Give Green California, EnviroVoters’ new online electoral platform, isn’t only for Californians.
California is not simply another state in the union; it’s the fifth-largest economy in the world. From phasing out gas-powered cars to our robust 30x30 public lands conservation plans to forcing corporations to disclose their climate emissions, when California leads, other states and nations follow suit.
That’s what Give Green California is all about — a powerful tool that will help us shift the balance of power in California from corporate-aligned politicians to a true climate majority.
The key to passing transformative climate legislation in the California legislature comes down to one number: 62. That's 21 of the 40 votes in the Senate and 41 of 80 votes in the Assembly, equalling a 62-seat climate majority.
Give Green California offers environmental voters like you an EASY way to donate to candidates committed to leading on climate justice in the most impactful races. The site harnesses the power of collective giving to advocate for climate action and counter Big Oil’s influence in Sacramento!

In large part because of the new climate champions we helped elect in 2022, California was able to pass the world-changing law, SB 253. That’s EnviroVoters’ sponsored bill that will be setting a new standard for corporate climate accountability and transparency for the entire nation and the world.
It’s not just a guess that this policy will open the floodgates for other countries to follow suit, friend. At COP28, the United Nations’ 28th annual climate change conference last month, the Canada and UK delegations wanted to meet with the California delegation about replicating something like SB 253 in their countries!
That’s the world-changing impact California has — and how you chipping in a few dollars to a state legislative candidate in a district dozens or even thousands of miles away could change the world.
It’s up to us to ensure California continues to demonstrate a global roadmap for climate action so that governments around the world can see what is possible. I encourage you to go to GiveGreenCalifornia.org today to split a donation between our priority climate-champion candidates!
