Hey John -- I wanted to reach out to you quickly to give you an update on our grassroots team.
At the end of the month, we're facing our first FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the new year. We set an $80,000 goal we need to hit by midnight on the 31st if we want to stay on track to win. But first, I want to tell you why this deadline is so important:
Beating my extreme Republican opponent, Senator Ernst, is about more than flipping the Senate. It's about electing a leader who will put people before an extreme partisan agenda fueled by corporate PACs. I'm ready to be that leader -- one who will protect access to affordable health care and fight for earned benefits like Social Security.
If we want to win, and flip the Senate, we need to hit this critical $80,000 goal before this month's FEC deadline. Pitch in $5 or whatever you can right now to help us get our goal before March 31st.

But their dark money allies already launched over one million dollars in new ads to try and hold onto Iowa's Senate seat and McConnell's Republican majority. And just this week Cook Political Report shifted the race rating in our favor and downgraded Ernst's re-election chances, so McConnell and his dark money allies will spend even more to beat this grassroots campaign.
