Fort Worth residents still have an opportunity to participate and can provide input through the online survey [ [link removed] ]. KFWB team and board retreat to plan 2024.

KFWB Board plans productive year at annual retreat

On January 12, Keep Fort Worth Beautiful board members had their annual Board Retreat with the KFWB team. The board came together to review the program's achievements over the past year and plan for 2024. This year, the team was happy to introduce two of its newly appointed board members, Charles Hodges and Jennifer Renta. We cannot wait to see what great contributions they both add to the program!

This year's Board Retreat featured two guest speakers. Kirsten Ham from UpSpire, a workforce provider for people who face employment barriers, provided more insight into the agency's development and the services they offer that keep our community beautiful. The Welman Project, an organization that distributes materials from local companies as supplies to educators, shared creative ways to reuse resources.

Thank you to the KFWB board, which works throughout the year to ensure the program's success:

Rose Eichler: President Jerod Butler Charles Hodges Austin Farley: Vice-President Gena Byrd Andrea Ordonez Fran Burns: Secretary Amparo Dinsmore Laurie Stelljes Matt Beard Hank Dorris Don Wheeler Raphael Brock Brenda Fry ?

Love your home and conservation savings.
Love your home and savings

Love is in the air, and what better way to show your home some affection than by treating it to water-saving upgrades? Consider swapping out those old fixtures with new, high-efficiency alternatives. It is time to make a commitment to love and care for your home in the most practical way possible:

1. Start with the heart of your home ? the kitchen. Replace those dated faucets and showerheads with high-efficiency models that not only reduce water waste but also add a touch of modern elegance to your spaces. Imagine indulging in a luxurious shower while conserving water.

2. Embrace the throne of the home. A leaking toilet can waste up to 13,000 gallons of water a year! Consider applying for the SmartFlush Program [ [link removed] ], which can provide up to two free toilets to eligible Fort Worth Water customers.

3. Looking for somewhere special (and unique) to take your Valentine? Sign up for the?FREE Water Saving Seminar [ [link removed] ] on *February 8, from 6 - 8 p.m., *in-person?at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, or online. Join the always entertaining horticulture specialists from Rooted-In for trivia, giveaways, and a guide to improving your outdoor space*.*

So this Valentine's Day season, let your love - and water - flow resourcefully.
