Friend --
The heart of any movement is the
involvement of young people. In order to ensure a healthy future for
our party, it is essential to involve the youth of our country.
Perhaps the most effective way to do this is to engage college
students.
As you may or may not know, the
Green-Rainbow Party of Massachusetts has an official chapter at the
University of Massachusetts Boston, which has hosted Green candidates
and speakers in the last couple of years, and advocated for students’
interests from a Green-Rainbow perspective.
This past spring, both co-chairs of
this chapter graduated, and there is yet not enough membership to
replace them when the new academic year begins in
September.
This is no reason to fret, however.
You can help us! If you know any people either
beginning their undergraduate journey or continuing it this fall,
please let us know! Students
can email us this summer at [email protected] with their interest in joining, and we’ll help them make
contact with the Young Greens and university people to keep the
chapter active.
Please help us find new Young
Greens of UMass Boston! If you or someone you know would like to start
a chapter on another campus, you can also contact us at http://www.green-rainbow.org.
For People, Planet and
Peace,
Charlene DiCalogero and Maha Gray,
Co-chairs
Jordan Stewart, outgoing Co-chair,
Young Greens of UMass Boston (YGUMB)
