Team,

The GOP Senate field just wrapped up their first public debate. I’ll share my thoughts with you in a moment, but before I do, can you pitch in $5 to help protect this Senate seat and our Democratic majority? [link removed]

While most debates are often full of unexpected, unscripted moments, we had an inkling this one was going to be messy. And we weren’t alone. Political pundits have called the GOP Senate primary in Ohio “bloody” and “the messiest Senate primary of 2024.”

And boy were we right. As per usual, the attacks flew. But our personal favorites include Moreno attacking Dolan saying "this guy will do anything to achieve political power" and Dolan dishing it right back with "I don't know if we can trust you."

We couldn't have said it better ourselves. How long have we been saying these three are only looking out for themselves? That we can't trust them to prioritize working Ohioans?

But the one thing Ohioans didn’t hear? Meaningful positions on the issues that matter most to Ohioans . While the three politicians stood there on stage and lobbed attacks at each other, Ohioans are still left wondering what these guys are planning to do to make our lives better. The only thing they have promised is to overrule the majority of Ohioans who support reproductive rights and pass a national abortion ban in Washington.

We can’t let them buy this U.S. Senate seat that will likely decide control of the chamber. Will you donate today to ensure we have the resources we need to defeat whichever candidate comes out of this messy primary so we can protect our Democratic Senate majority? [link removed]

Thank you,

Liz Walters

Control of the House and Senate runs right through Ohio this year. Can Ohio Democrats count on you to chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can to help fuel our fight to hold on to the Senate and flip the House? → [link removed]
