Today would have been the 51st anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision. 

But instead of celebrating this milestone, women across the country are suffering because of Republicans’ decades-long anti-abortion and anti-women crusade that led to the overturning of Roe and opened the floodgates for more extreme, dangerous attacks on reproductive rights.

So, instead, today we’ve got to speak out and fight back.

I’m furious that this generation of women has fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers. And it’s what fuels me to keep fighting. Republicans have made clear that overturning Roe was not the beginning of their efforts – far from it. They’re coming after all aspects of reproductive rights like abortion medication, IVF, and even the right to birth control.

I promise that Senate Democrats will keep fighting back against Republicans’ push for a nationwide abortion ban and all of their cruel attempts to rip away reproductive rights in every way we can and for as long as it takes to restore Roe v. Wade and protect every woman’s right to abortion.

But until then, we must stand united in demanding the right for every woman to control her body and her future – so please, add your name to my petition now if you're with me in the fight to restore Roe and protect the right to abortion. We can't win without everyone on board.
