Folks,

Today marks the 51 st anniversary of Roe v. Wade , the historic Supreme Court decision in 1973 that established the right to
abortion care in the United States. This transformative decision came after
decades of determined activism.

Many of us saw Roe as only the floor — not the ceiling — in our fight for reproductive justice.
But the Supreme Court reversal of Roe has stripped away that fundamental right.

The reversal of Roe and subsequent abortion bans enacted by states have had a detrimental impact on
people of color, immigrants, and those with limited resources. Access to abortion care has now become nearly impossible for these communities.

The 2022 Supreme Court decision only exacerbated the barriers that our
communities faced before Roe fell, including the cost of abortion care and travel, childcare needs, the lack
of access to translation services, resources in preferred languages,
militarization of the border and interior CBP checkpoints, and more. These
hardships are only compounded for immigrants in detention.

Abortion rights are crucial to our efforts to build a more just and equitable
society, one that works for all people , no matter where we’re from or how much money we have.

We are in the fight of our lives for reproductive freedom and our fundamental
human rights – and the people most impacted by the loss of abortion rights must
lead it.

That’s why we’re building our movement and making it stronger every day — one
that extremism can’t topple. To do that, we need you to stick with us,
friend. Your support is critical as we take action to
secure and defend our rights.

We fight on,
