Fifty-one years ago, the landmark case Roe vs. Wade reaffirmed the fundamental principles of equality and the unalienable right of all Americans to determine their own destinies.

In the two years since it’s been overturned, the fallout has been tragic. We've seen women forced to travel long distances to seek care, people — including minors — forced to carry unwanted pregnancies to term, and even criminal charges against doctors and women who seek abortion or even miscarry.

And we know this decision disproportionately impacts women of color and low-income individuals the most.

To me, one thing is clear: the right to bodily autonomy and abortion will ALWAYS be a right, regardless of what five conservative justices on the Court say. The truth is anti-abortion extremists will not stop until they put in place a nationwide abortion ban.

As GOP extremists in Congress continue to push anti-choice policies, the Supreme Court is poised to, once again, chip away at abortion rights by taking up a case that could ban medication abortion in all 50 states. We must stop them.

Retake our House majority. Pass the Women’s Health Protection Act. That’s how we save a generation of progress and save lives. Chip in any amount you can on this important anniversary to help me get it done.
