Fifty-one years ago today, the Supreme Court decided in Roe v. Wade that women across the country had the right to make their own decisions when it came to reproductive health care. For nearly fifty years, that was decided law and these decisions were between a woman and her doctor, not politicians and the government.

And as you know, it was not that long ago that a radical court decision threw out fifty years of precedent and created a patchwork of laws across the country.

That’s why I am working to codify Roe into law. This should have been done long ago -- our daughters should not live in a world where they have fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers did.
