Meeting highlights include:
- A presentation and discussion about the 2024 Washington State legislative session. Partnership staff will provide an update on the 2024 Washington State legislative session. Members of the Salmon Recovery Council's Legislative Committee will provide an update on their work. Salmon Recovery Council members will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss policies in play. Presentation by Don Gourlie, legislative policy director at the Puget Sound Partnership, and Mindy Roberts, co-vice chair of the Salmon Recovery Council and Puget Sound program director at Washington Conservation Action.??
- A?presentation and discussion about the public comment period for the addendum to the regional chapter of the Salmon Recovery Plan. The addendum will guide the Puget Sound regional salmon recovery organization's actions over the next decade. This session will include an overview of the timeline and approach to incorporating Tribal input and public comment into the addendum. Presentation by Melissa Speeg, salmon recovery manager at the Puget Sound Partnership.
- A presentation from the Salmon Recovery Council's Accelerating Progress Committee. The committee is developing a suite of actions for the Salmon Recovery Council to accelerate the implementation of salmon habitat restoration projects in Puget Sound. Presentation by Kit Crump, co-vice chair of the Salmon Recovery Council and floodplain services supervisor, Snohomish County Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Cindy Wolf, Salmon Recovery Council member and San Juan County Council member.
- A presentation and discussion about the Salmon Recovery Council's 2024-2025 work plan. During this session, Partnership staff will present and request approval of the proposed 2024-2025 work plan for the Salmon Recovery Council. This session will include discussion and feedback about the proposed work plan. Presentation by Wendy Loosle, boards policy advisor at the Puget Sound Partnership.?
