PLANNED PARENTHOOD
Not too long ago, some people assumed there was no reason to worry about the right to abortion, because Roe v. Wade would protect us. Now, some people feel defeated — saying there's no point in fighting for our rights, because we may never win them back.

I reject all that. Our opponents want us to sit back and stay quiet, instead of doing the work we need to protect, restore, and expand access to abortion.

So today, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, I'm asking you to recommit to the fight — we'll never back down. Make a gift right now to renew your commitment to making sure everyone can get the reproductive health care they need and deserve, including abortion.

Over the past two years, the devastation of the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe and take away our ability to control our own bodies has been severe and widespread. And the push for more anti‑abortion policies isn't stopping. State lawmakers continue to push new bans and restrictions, right along with bans on gender‑affirming care and other basic health care.

But you have demonstrated time and again that this movement is strong, resilient, and dedicated enough to create real change. We are fighting in the courts, in Congress, and in states across the country — whatever it takes to win back the power to control our own bodies, our own futures.

Can we count on you to strengthen this movement with a gift today?

Just as some people had a false sense of security when Roe v. Wade was in place, many believe that it's somehow okay that abortion is only banned in some states.

Maya Angelou said it best: "No one of us can be free until everybody is free."

And the truth is, the biggest threats to abortion access right now affect people across the country. The Supreme Court will soon hear a case that jeopardizes nationwide access to mifepristone, the most common abortion medication. Just last week, the attorneys general of Missouri, Kansas, and Idaho joined the lawsuit, trying to lend their support to a case that should never have been allowed to proceed this far.

Today, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, remember that we can never take our rights for granted. Let's recommit ourselves to expanding abortion access for all. Please, take a moment right now to chip in.

Thanks for sticking with us.

Sincerely,
