Today marks 51 years since the Supreme Court ruled in the case of Roe v. Wade that women have the Constitutional right to control their own bodies. It was a momentous case that opened up futures for a whole generation of women.

And then, almost two ago, those rights were stripped away. For the first time in our history, my daughter is living with fewer rights than her mother or grandmother’s generation.

It’s unconscionable to me that in the year 2024, women are being denied reproductive healthcare and some face jail time for receiving an abortion. This isn’t a dream we’re going to wake up from - it’s real and happening as we speak in Texas…

We cannot become numb and we absolutely cannot sit out this year’s elections. Trump is bragging about ending Roe v. Wade and alongside his MAGA cronies (including my opponent) he will be pushing for a national abortion ban.
