| | | It is so rare to have a man of character, faith and principle decide to pause his successful life’s work and devote himself to saving our nation. That is what Mark Houck has decided to do. You may know of Mark Houck and his harrowing battle against the tyrannical power of the federal government. A husband, father of seven and devout Catholic, Mark founded a men’s ministry called The King’s Men. For years, he peacefully served as a sidewalk counselor outside a Planned Parenthood abortion facility, respectfully speaking with and praying for the women to not abort their unborn child. His goal was to uphold the human dignity of all, mother and baby alike. | | | | | | | | One day, his son accompanied him on the sidewalk to join Mark’s pro-life ministry. The boy was approached by a pro-abortion volunteer who repeatedly harangued and harassed him with vulgar and threatening language. Mark did what any father would do – he protected his son and pushed the harasser away from the boy. Naturally, the leftwing abortion volunteer immediately claimed to be a victim and demanded that Mark be arrested. Local authorities investigated and decided that no crime had been committed. Then, out of the blue a year after the incident, Joe Biden’s “Justice” Department dispatched more than two dozen armed thugs to surround Mark’s home at the crack of dawn, pounding on the door to arrest him. Many people would not be able to handle the ordeal that followed, but Mark Houck is no ordinary person. He’s using the government’s attacks against him as motivation to push back against federal government tyranny that is being aimed at conservatives. Please join me in supporting his efforts. | | | | | | Mark described the terrifying ordeal that unfolded to a reporter: “As I opened the door, I could not believe the circus scene that I saw…at least 10, 15 marked and unmarked units right in front of me...cars lined all the way up to the street, long guns pointed at me, heavily armored vests, ballistic helmets, ballistic shields, a battering ram,” he said. There were at least five federal agents on his porch “with M-16s pointed at me and now my wife as she entered the opening of the door…I’m so surprised that someone wasn’t shot or I wasn’t shot…[If] my kids picked up one of our airsoft guns that they play around with they easily could have been shot,” Mark told the reporter. When Biden’s DOJ thugs brought Mark to the federal building, they shackled him at the waist and feet in what Mark called “a pure act of humiliation.” This is how Joe Biden’s federal government treats pro-life supporters. Given the chance, they would do the same thing to you or I. | | | | | | Shortly after this incident came down, I was escorting Cardinal Gerard Mueller, the former Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith for the Catholic Church, to a number of pro-family events in North America. The Cardinal was so moved by the unfairness of the situation – he called it a “scandal” on the Biden Administration – that he and I arranged a visit with the Houck family’s home. I witnessed their gratitude and appreciation that this man of great faith would take the time to personally support them and pray for their victory. The good news is that Mark Houck’s terrifying ordeal was not decided at the end of an M-16 rifle. It was decided in a court of law, where a jury took only an hour to decide that Mark was INNOCENT of any wrongdoing. Now Mark Houck is running for Congress to take on the weaponization of the federal government against conservatives by Joe Biden, Merrick Garland and other radical Democrats.
