There must be something in the water in the South Bay area. If you haven't heard, Democrat Councilmember Andrea Cardenas has been charged with multiple felonies, including fraud, money laundering, and more stemming from COVID-relief funds her political consulting firm got. She has pled not guilty.

Cardenas has remained in office despite calls for her resignation.

Unfortunately, for Republican Mayor John McCann, this isn't the first time he's been surrounded by corrupt figures.

In 2013, while McCann was serving on the Sweetwater School District Board of Trustees, four members of that board were indicted in a corruption scandal.

The last man standing...was John McCann. The only board member to not be involved in the scheme.

Quality candidates like John McCann are why we exist, Jack. He won his city council seat in 2014 by just two votes. ([link removed]) Yes, two!
