John, 

Today should have been the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade.

Instead, we’re living in an America where women have to wait until they’re near death before they can terminate a non-viable pregnancy.  Pregnancy outcomes are criminalized. The level of care a pregnant person receives depends on the state they live in and what kind of hospital they can get to. 

The anti-choice lawmakers who helped usher in this new reality should be horrified at what they’ve done. But they aren’t. They want to go further by instituting a national abortion ban. 

Today, I’m recommitting myself to the fight for reproductive rights, and I hope you’ll join me. If you believe the right to an abortion should be protected, will you add your name now?

My entire career, I’ve fought for the right to bodily autonomy and I’m the only one in this race who has beaten the kind of MAGA Republicans who support a national ban. If we’re going to win back the rights we’ve lost, we need to make sure Democrats win this November. 

John, this fight is just beginning. I’m glad you’re standing with me.
