Friend,

51 years ago Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court and guaranteed a person’s right to have an abortion. This decision was crucial in the fight for equal rights for women and ensured equal access to abortions regardless of location or socioeconomic class.

However, the right to an abortion is no longer guaranteed. The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022 with the Dobbs case and now extremist politicians across the country are passing abortion bans and trying to prosecute those who seek abortions in order to protect their own lives. Later this year, the Court is hearing a case about mifepristone, a medication that is used in the majority of abortions. If they decide how they have in past abortion cases, it will be even more difficult for people to receive the necessary reproductive healthcare.

Restricting abortion access puts people in dangerous situations and if the Supreme Court upholds the mifepristone decision, even more people will be put in harm's way. After steadily eroding voting rights, extremists and mega-donors like Leonard Leo and the Koch Network finally chipped away at one of our most fundamental rights: the right to choose. On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we need every single person to contribute $10 now so we can keep fighting to protect reproductive rights and pass judicial reform.

This Supreme Court is corrupt, and it’s no secret. Justices are jet-setting with billionaires and rubbing shoulders with conservative mega-donors all while casting aside the duties of their position. Restricting abortion access even further is just the next step in a long line of decisions influenced by their Republican billionaire benefactors, and this trend needs to end.

The Supreme Court is supposed to be above partisan political influence, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that conservative Justices care more about buddying up to billionaires than staying nonpartisan. As conservative megadonors continue to control the Supreme Court, it’s more important than ever to protect abortion rights throughout the country. Please contribute $10 now and we can work together to fight for an unbiased, independent judiciary.

Roe v. Wade changed this country for the better, but now conservatives are on track to wipe out abortion access everywhere they can. Our fundamental freedoms are on the line, so please, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade , please chip in $10 so we can keep up our work on Supreme Court reform.
