Terri Sewell is the proud product of Alabama’s rural Black Belt and has spent her life fighting for Alabama communities. From her time as one of the only black public finance lawyers in Alabama, when she delivered financing for new campus facilities at Alabama State University, Tuskegee University, and Stillman College, to her work as Congresswoman for Alabama’s 7th District, Terri Sewell has delivered results every step of the way. Today marks the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the historic Supreme Court ruling that secured reproductive rights and freedom for women across the country.
When the court overturned this ruling, they reversed a half century of legal precedent andstripped away a woman’s right to make her own personal reproductive health care decisions.
Ever since then, extremists have been pushing for a total abortion ban, criminalizing doctors, and attempting to impose more restrictions on women everywhere.
Sign on now if you agree we must protect reproductive rights for women across the country.
These attacks are a real threat to the health and well-being of women — especially here in Alabama where women die of pregnancy-related complications at one of the highest rates in the nation.
We need to ensure we elect leaders in November who are working to secure and protect your reproductive health now and in the future.
I will always fight to protect your right to reproductive care in AL-07 and beyond — add your name and stand with me.
Thank you for your support,
Terri
