Friend,
51 years ago, the U.S. Supreme Court issued its ruling in Roe v. Wade, a
decision that protected the constitutional right to abortion and reaffirmed a
fundamental American value: government should not intrude in our most private
and personal health decisions.
In June of 2022, Roe V. Wade was struck down, allowing states to create their
own abortion laws – ripping basic healthcare away from millions of women. This
is unacceptable.
Congress must codify Roe V. Wade. Women are dying, being jailed, and forced to
travel to different states just to obtain healthcare. My Democratic colleagues
and I are fully committed to making sure everyone, regardless of income, race,
zip code, insurance coverage, or immigration status is allowed to make their
own decisions about their health without political interference.
That’s why this Congress, I voted to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act,
legislation that assures the reproductive rights first recognized inRoe are
guaranteed to people everywhere.
And while in Congress, I will continue to be a champion for abortion access
everywhere.Donate today to ensure that a pro-choice champion remains in the
House.

In the years since Roe’s ruling, and especially now that Roe has been
overturned, we must always commit ourselves to protecting the fundamental
freedom of choice for women across the nation.Donating to a pro-choice
candidate is a great place to start.
