We have many humane allies in Congress, but we are always up against well-funded politicians who have the backing of special interests that represent exploitative industries like industrial farming and trophy hunters.

I’m personally asking you to renew your 2024 membership ([link removed]) to help the Humane Society Legislative Fund defeat threats to animals and push animal protection legislation over the finish line. Your gift will help us keep fighting for the Puppy Protection Act to improve the lives of dogs in puppy mills, the Humane Cosmetics Act to end unnecessary cosmetics testing on animals as well as ensuring the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act, which could wipe out many critical state-level animal protection laws, is not passed, just to name a few of our upcoming battles.

When we secure passage of these and other bills, and protect against anti-animal policies, we create a more humane world in which we protect countless animals from cruelty and abuse.
