Dear LIRS Supporter,
I know that we are living in challenging times. The COVID-19 outbreak continues to threaten lives, has changed our way of life, and is so isolating at a time when we many of us feel the need for a sense of community.
For our friends in immigration detention, the isolation that they experience has only been intensified in recent days.
While our staff are working remotely to ensure their health and the safety of others, they have been urgently working on providing relief in a variety of ways to support our clients in need.
We believe that hope can't be quarantined.
Please, take a moment to listen to some of my thoughts on the COVID-19 outbreak.
We will be updating you on the status of our relief plans early next week. In the meantime, we have compiled some updates on our response.
