Hey there, I’m Allyson’s mother, Alexandria.
Allyson is the eldest of four. And I can tell you firsthand, she’s been a fighter her whole life.
For most of my life, we didn’t have much. My own mother knocked on doors to sell tortillas with my sisters and I so we could afford to put food on the table. Years later, I remember making the same tortillas and filling them with beans and rice for Allyson and her brothers to eat. It wasn’t a lot, but we made the best of what we had.
Allyson worked hard in school and became an engineer. She met her husband Marc (also an engineer) and they started a family together. When it became clear that her daughters needed her full-time support she didn’t return to her career in order to care for them. She went head to head with massive health insurance and drug companies to get her daughters the life-saving care they needed – and she won.
Now she’s running for Congress and every day, I’m seeing her talk to voters and listen to them with the same care and kindness she gives to her family.
I wanted to personally reach out to you and ask if you can contribute any amount to her campaign today and help bring her vision of leading by compassion and integrity to Congress.
