Today SHOULD be a day of acknowledging the 51st anniversary of Roe v Wade, the landmark 7-2 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide. Instead, we’re lamenting our loss of fundamental human rights thanks to an extreme Supreme Court.

While Roe was groundbreaking, it left too many communities behind, and just restoring it would be insufficient. That’s why we’re committed to expanding reproductive rights beyond Roe.

The current Supreme Court is dominated by out-of-control right-wing judges masquerading as impartial interpreters of the Constitution. Let’s be very clear: this court is dangerous, governing by judicial fiat as they trample all over our rights and judicial precedent.

We need to elect New Mexican women and non-binary leaders who are committed to going above and beyond guaranteeing abortion rights, pushing for binding legal protections for women and their right to choose.
