Hi John,

Today marks the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade , the landmark Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal throughout the U.S.

When Roe was overturned in 2022, the future of abortion access was turned over to voters to decide. Since then, we’ve seen voters from across the political spectrum make their voices heard about the issue.

This trend will only continue in 2024, when abortion will be on the ballot in a number of states — not to mention a major issue in the presidential election. And yet, millions of Americans are at risk of not being able to vote on this critical issue because they lack an acceptable form of voter ID, or are so confused about changing laws in their state that they opt to stay home.

For many, voter ID may seem like an abstract issue — either because they already have an ID, or they live in a place that doesn’t require one to vote. But the truth is, millions of eligible voters don’t have the ID they need to cast a ballot where they live , and that means they can’t voice their opinion on abortion, immigration, the environment, education, housing, or any of the issues that impact their lives.

VoteRiders is making sure that millions of those voters have the information and ID they need to cast a ballot that counts this fall. With so much at stake, it’s critical every voter has the opportunity to make their voice heard about the most important issues we face.

If you want to help make a difference for voters this year, here are three things you can do right now:
* Volunteer! We’re holding a Voter ID Assistance Training TOMORROW. >> [link removed]
* Get free help! If you or anyone you know needs help getting an ID, or just needs some information about the rules where you live, get free help! >> [link removed]
* Donate! We always cover the fees and transportation costs for anyone we help, because we don’t think cost should ever be a factor in access to the voting booth. But it adds up! Donate $35 or more to help someone secure their ID. >> [link removed]

Abortion — and so much more — is on the ballot in 2024. Let’s make sure every voter has a chance to make their voice heard.

Thank you,
