Folks — Today marks the 51st anniversary of the landmark Roe decision, which guaranteed abortion care and the right to bodily autonomy in the country for nearly 5 decades. 

Right-wing extremists then orchestrated a crusade to eviscerate access to this critical right and successfully overturned that decision in 2022.

Now, voters in states across the nation are coming together to safeguard abortion access at the state level. Arizona will be abortion’s next battleground, and we’ll need a pro-choice coalition to ensure that every Arizonan has the right to bodily autonomy.

Republicans have made it clear: they won’t stop until abortion is banned nationwide — putting millions of women in danger. These extreme bans place undue burdens on providers and patients, and they only ban safe abortions. 

Donald Trump celebrated the overturning of Roe, and since then we’ve seen GOP-led states and legislatures enact extreme, near-total bans that have already put lives in danger.

Mobilizing a pro-choice majority this year will be vital to protecting the lives of Arizonans. Grassroots organizers with Arizonans for Abortion access have already collected over 250,000 signatures to get abortion access on the ballot this November.
