This week, we should be marking the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court case that protected abortion access as a constitutional right for decades.

However, the Supreme Court overturned this landmark decision that protected abortion access as a constitutional right for decades, permitting states to strip away women's autonomy over their bodies and health care. This decision had a devastating impact on millions of Americans, leaving them without access to reproductive health care.

My extremist opponent, Anthony D’Esposito, supports a national ban on abortion. And just a few days ago, he voted on two bills alongside House Republicans that would chip away at women’s constitutional freedoms and deny them access to essential reproductive care. We cannot let Anthony D’Esposito serve another term in Congress.

A woman’s right to control her own body is on the line in every state, as extremists will stop at nothing to pass increasingly restrictive and dangerous laws. The path to retake the Democratic House majority runs right through our district. With Anthony D’Esposito ranked the #1 most vulnerable Republican in the country, we are on the frontline to flip this seat and protect our reproductive rights.

In Congress, I will work tirelessly to codify Roe v. Wade and advance legislation that protects and expands bodily autonomy and women’s rights to make their own healthcare choices. But I can’t do this without your support because what happens on Long Island will determine whether Democrats can take back the House and fight for what’s right.
