I have a troubling update about the fate of Democratic Senate control: My friend Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pennsylvania) was just outraised nearly 2:1 by his millionaire GOP opponent. 

If we’re going to maintain our majority, we simply cannot afford to lose this seat. That’s why I promised Bob I’d reach out to this team to help him fight back at this critical moment. We’re counting on your support: Will you split $5 or more between Sen. Bob Casey and my campaign so we can keep Pennsylvania blue and protect Democratic Senate control?

Friend, as the Senator for Connecticut, I know a thing or two about Bob’s opponent, Dave McCormick. That’s because McCormick is more a resident of my state than he is of Pennsylvania.

That’s right: Republicans are once again rallying behind a Senate candidate in Pennsylvania whose roots in the state are questionable at best – just like they did last time around with Dr. Oz.   

McCormick is using his own personal fortune to parachute into Pennsylvania and buy a Senate seat – he’s already sunk $1 million of his own money into flipping Pennsylvania red. He’s also being funded by a super PAC that raised an eye-popping $18 million last year. 

Control of the Senate and the White House hinges on what happens in Pennsylvania – which is precisely why Sen. Casey cannot afford to be outraised like this. 

Whether Sen. Casey’s campaign has the resources to reach and turn out voters will not only determine Senate control – but it could also help determine how many voters we can mobilize for Joe Biden.

If he continues to be outraised by his right-wing opponent – if Sen. Casey and Joe Biden lose in Pennsylvania – then it will spell disaster for everything we care about, from reproductive freedom to gun safety to the rule of law and more.   

That’s why I’m counting on you to pitch in now – before the GOP gains any more momentum here. So please, will you split $5 or whatever you can spare to ensure Sen. Casey does not get outraised by his GOP opponent? Whatever you give will help us keep Pennsylvania blue and protect our Senate control!

You helped flip Georgia blue and keep it blue. Now is the time we must show up for battleground Pennsylvania and my good friend Sen. Bob Casey.
