John,
11 million children across the U.S. are living in poverty. Every day, their parents are forced to make impossible choices.
Gas or groceries? Rent or running water? Sneakers or schoolbooks?
Child poverty is a policy choice… and the Child Tax Credit (CTC) is one policy that can make a big difference. In 2021, expanding the CTC cut child poverty in HALF – but all that progress disappeared when lawmakers let the improvements expire.
The cost of living is rising rapidly, and low-income families need relief. Will you speak up for them today, John? [[link removed]]
Expanding the CTC helped parents afford everyday essentials like safe housing and nutritious food. In just a year, children’s physical, social and emotional well-being skyrocketed!
Now, Congress has a chance to bring this life-changing support back. The proposed changes to the CTC would lift 500,000 kids out of poverty by 2025, moving us closer to a future without impossible choices.
John, we’ve seen the expanded CTC work. Tell Congress to protect children’s lives and futures this National Poverty Awareness Month! [[link removed]]
Thanks for being a voice for kids,
