John,

In spite of quarantines, lock-downs, and social distancing...

...reports of saved babies at 40 Days for Life vigils are up more than 10% this spring!

I recently received an email from a dad in Louisville, Kentucky who chose life thanks to 40 Days for Life volunteers on-site.

"We walked out of the abortion clinic a few minutes before the final procedure," the father wrote.

"Please tell the ladies outside the clinic that the 'nice young man' who talked to a few of them did not go through with the abortion. They deserve to know that their efforts were not in vain."

This man and his family remain anxious about the future. Please keep them in prayer!

In times of crisis, the impact of your compassion is amplified. Here are two more stories where love triumphed over fear:

San Francisco, California

God blessed volunteers in the Bay Area with a saved baby!

"Tonight, around 7:15 pm, a woman approached the clinic looking for an abortion," wrote the San Francisco team. "Her parents don’t want her to have the baby and are pressuring her to have an abortion."

After a 25-minute conversation with a Spanish-speaking volunteer and an exchange of phone numbers, the woman prayed with vigil participants and "left with a big smile on her face."

Flossmoor, Illinois

After noticing that nobody was signed up to pray the noon hour at the Flossmoor campaign, Carmen and Jim decided to head to the vigil.

"A young, frightened, confused 20-year-old girl went to Planned Parenthood to seek help, and she got it," Carmen wrote. "But not from Planned Parenthood."

Carmen and Jim encouraged the woman to consider all her options,
gave her a gift bag, and treated her to a cup of coffee.

"After [sharing] a heartfelt life story, tears, and hugs, Carmen escorted the woman next door where she scheduled her ultrasound, signed up for parenting classes, and CHOSE LIFE!

Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

— Jeremiah 1:4-5

Lord God, we confess that in You we live and move and have our being. Because You are, we are. May we find grace from You to affirm the being of every human and may we labor to make this truth known to the world around us.
