The coronavirus crisis shows how much we all rely on our NHS.

Now the government is trying to sneak through a Trade Bill which gives no protection for our NHS from trade deals, even as the crisis escalates.

Tell Boris Johnson to stick to his promise to keep our NHS off the table:

During the election, thousands of you campaigned with us, Keep Our NHS Public and others. You put so much pressure on Boris Johnson that he pledged the NHS would not be on the table in a Trump trade deal.

The government quietly published a new Trade Bill two days ago.

This legislation sets out the way that the government can strike trade deals with the US and others now that we've left the EU. But it doesn't contain any concrete protection for the NHS, despite Johnson's repeated promises before Christmas.

Today, we need our NHS more than ever - but it needs us too. We can't let the government get away with sneaking this legislation through unamended.

Donald Trump has shown his true colours this week, stating that he'd buy out a German company working on a coronavirus vaccine and make it available only to Americans. This is the principle of private healthcare - exclusive access for some, and ill health and misery for the rest.

Don't let him get his hands on our NHS:

Our NHS is a shining example of universal healthcare, but years of cuts and privatisation have undermined and hollowed out our precious health service. Trade deals will only increase levels of privatisation - we can't let that happen.

Under pressure from many of you, Johnson promised to keep it off the table in trade deals, so let's hold him to that promise.
