Dear Friend,
We're a few days into our 2024 Annual Fund Drive and I'm delighted to report a tremendous outpouring of support. However, to keep our momentum moving in the new year, we still need your help right now. Please say you'll join the fight and make your first gift before our 2024 Annual Fund Drive ends on January 30.
Over the past 12 months, the Alzheimer's Association achieved significant milestones and made great progress, advancing research and providing care and support to all those affected by Alzheimer's. It's all thanks to caring friends like you.
The support of community members like you ensured that the more than 6 million Americans living with Alzheimer's — and the over 11 million friends and family members who provide their unpaid care — could rely on us for high-quality care and support when they needed it most and helped advance promising new research.
We have even bigger plans for 2024, and your first gift today will support a number of crucial priorities for the year ahead, including:
- Providing care and support, from our free 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), staffed by specialists and master's-level clinicians, to ALZNavigator™, an online tool that provides resources and creates personalized action plans for people living with the disease.
- Advance critical research, so we can learn more about this progressive and fatal disease. Your support helps us continue to accelerate research toward methods of treatment, prevention and, ultimately, a cure.
- Strengthen our efforts and work at the federal level to encourage legislation that will increase research funding and improve the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
If you haven't yet contributed to our 2024 Annual Fund Drive, please do so now. I'm counting on YOU to make progress in the fight against Alzheimer's each day in the new year and beyond.
We're in a historic time in our fight. With Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved treatments that can help slow the disease's progression for some people living with early Alzheimer's, many of our loved ones were given hope for more time.
However, these treatments can only help if Alzheimer's is detected and diagnosed early enough. The need is still urgent for continued diligence and dedication in our efforts to promote early detection and provide equal access to resources for accurate diagnosis.
While FDA-approved treatments bring new hope to those living with early Alzheimer's, not everyone has access to them — and they are not the answer for everyone. Every day without access, an additional 2,000 people progress past the point of eligibility for treatment.
We won't rest until everyone with dementia of any kind — at any stage — can get the treatment, care and support they need and deserve. We're working relentlessly toward this goal, but we can't get there without you.
I hope this motivates you to stay in the fight against Alzheimer's to help us make even greater progress in 2024. Please contribute to our 2024 Annual Fund Drive today.
Our 2024 Annual Fund Drive won't last long, and I'm hoping you'll make your first gift today while it will support our mission to lead the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
Together, we are making great progress in the fight against Alzheimer's.
Gratefully,
Michael Reich
Chief Marketing Officer
P.S. As the number of older Americans grows, so does the incidence of Alzheimer's. Today, everyone is at risk. We must begin 2024 with a renewed sense of urgency and with the strongest possible commitment to research, care and support. I'm counting on you to join us today and help make that happen. Please give to our 2024 Annual Fund Drive now. Thank you.
