Then it took Republicans more than three weeks to elect a new Speaker. After Steve Scalise and Jim Jordan failed to get the votes, they finally settled on MAGA favorite Mike Johnson. But just 2 months later, Marjorie Taylor Greene is once again threatening an uprising to throw the Speaker out if she doesn't get her way.
