Jack, this is going to be a rough year. As I mention in the email below, Daily Kos' financial hardships continue into the new year. It is unlikely that our advertising revenue will rebound to where it was even a couple years ago.
To make matters worse, we are heading into what will undoubtedly be one of the most challenging elections of our lifetimes. The viability of our democracy is at stake.
Our mission at Daily Kos is to fight for a vibrant democracy by giving our audience meaningful information, providing them resources to win elections and effective actions they can take that impact our government. We sit at the crossroads of advocacy and delivering the news—no other organization or news outlet does the work we do.
Now more than ever before, it is critical that Daily Kos not only survives, but that we thrive. We need We can't be successful without your support, Jack. Please help Daily Kos by donating $5 or more today.

I'll get straight to the point, Jack: the financial hardships that Daily Kos faced in 2023 continue into 2024.
We are planning on bringing in less advertising revenue than ever before. Due to that we will have to make some difficult budget decisions. We are hoping that you will not notice a difference in the quality of our content or the effectiveness of our actions.
However, in order to make that happen, we need to bring in more revenue. We have increased our annual fundraising goal in hopes of making up the revenue deficit. We are leaning on our readers and activists more than ever to help make ends meet.
That's why I am asking, if you can, to donate $5 or more to support Daily Kos and our continued work.
