For decades now, Texas has had the reputation of being a reliable red
state. And it's not hard to see why,
John.

On the national level, Democrats haven’t held a Senate seat since 1993,
and haven’t won presidential electors since 1976.

On the state level, Republicans hold a trifecta, controlling the
Governor’s office, both chambers of the legislature, and even a state
Supreme Court majority.

However, in recent years it appears that the GOP’s 30-year-long grip on
power is starting to slip. As Texas continues to diversify, we’ve seen an
erosion of Republican support among voters.

contribute $5.

In 2018, Ted Cruz barely won his reelection to the Senate after defeating
Beto O'Rourke by only 2.6 percentage points.

In 2020, Joe Biden lost the state to Donald Trump by only 5 percentage
points, making it the best showing by a Democratic presidential candidate
in almost 25 years.

While it’s unlikely Biden will win Texas this year, that doesn’t mean all
hope is lost.

In fact, with Ted Cruz being more vulnerable and unpopular than ever
before, we have the opportunity to show Texas and the country that the GOP
isn’t infallible.

John. But we can't do it
without you, so if you can, please chip in $5 to power our
grassroots movement to Cut Cruz.
