Get Lead Out of Our Water!
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a long-overdue update to federal water quality regulations for lead in drinking water. This is an important step forward, but more must be done. We need the EPA to:
Ban PVC and chlorinated PVC service lines, don't replace one toxic pipe with another.
Replace all lead service lines within 10 years at no cost to individual households.
Lower the lead action level to no more than 5 parts per billion.
