John,
Tomorrow, on the 51st anniversary of the historic Roe v Wade decision, Americans will have less freedom to make personal reproductive healthcare decisions than fifty years ago.
Even then, the protections of Roe were never enough, and they failed to stop extremist politicians from making abortion effectively impossible to access, especially for Black and Brown people, people impacted by poverty, and people in rural areas.
Still, without any federal protections, the status of abortion rights in America is dire. On the 51st anniversary of Roe, will you support our work to build a future with reproductive freedom for all?
Since the fall of Roe, abortion rights have won elections, from Kansas to Michigan to Ohio. Abortion is more popular than any political party, and a majority of Americans want to keep private medical choices out of the hands of the government.
When we bring the pro-choice majority to the polls, we win—and that’s why we’re focused on registering as many new voters as possible during these critical early months. Every gift of $6.11 allows us to register a new voter, give them our pro-choice voter guide, and get them to the polls on Election Day.
This work cannot wait until November. Today, will you help us build a world beyond Roe, in which everyone can access the care they need?
Gratefully,
Sara Tabatabaie
