VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump suffers cognitive breakdown live on stage
It appears that the burger grease-choked morass of egotistic impulses, raw spite, and showtunes lyrics that Trump calls his "brain" is having some serious issues. The disgraced ex-president, who we must remind you is facing 91 felony charges, confused rival Republican Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a speech in New Hampshire, blaming Haley for failing to accept the offer of "security" that Trump claims he made on January 6th. Once again, all his petty attacks about President Biden's age are clearly nothing but pure projection.

This group holds a boot camp to help left-learning orgs meme-ify politics
That group? It's us! atAdvocacy partnered with viral sensation (in political nerd world at least) @OrganizerMemes to help teach Democratic groups how to embrace the power of the meme in political organizing and engaging with the younger generations who may be more suspicious of more traditional outreach avenues. "Memes has to be a thing. TikTok has to be a thing. As a campaign, if you're not communicating in those channels, your opponent is," says our founder, Stuart Perlemuter. Trump may not know what memes are, but the young, dead-eyed little Nazi staffers whose private group chats are full of memes of Pepe the Frog in an SS uniform definitely do — it's political territory we absolutely cannot afford to ignore.

The bad behavior behind Bill Ackman's backing of Biden primary challenger
Hedge fund bozo Bill Ackman recently made headlines by giving $1 million to dead-end Biden primary challenger Dean Phillips (seriously, who is this guy?). The reason for that surprising donation has become clear: during a conference in 2017 — hosted by Anthony Scaramucci, of all people? — Ackman was extremely rude to Joe Biden while he was reflecting on his deceased wife and son. Biden said, "I'm sorry…I've said enough," which Ackman responded to by saying, "Why? That’s never stopped you before." The future president did not take kindly to the appalling insult, asking, "Who the hell is this asshole?" before firing back, "look, I don't know who you are, wiseass, but never disrespect the memory of my dead son!" At the heart of nearly every billionaire outrage is a fragile, wounded ego — except unlike the rest of us, when billionaires get in their feelings, they do things like vindictively throw money away, even if that means potentially undermining the one man who can keep our democracy from falling into the hands of a would-be fascist dictator.

"Shell game:" When private equity comes to town, hospitals can see cutbacks, closures
America's bloated, inefficient, inhumane and deeply exploitative healthcare system is somehow getting WORSE, all thanks to the private equity vampires that are responsible for so much in this country becoming progressively shittier. "It’s now a familiar story. Private equity buys out a hospital, saddles it with debt, and then reduces operating costs by cutting services and staff all while investors pocket millions. Before the dust settles, the private equity firm sells and leaves town, leaving communities to pick up the pieces," said Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse as he announced an investigation into the practice. "Private equity firms are buying physician practices, dialysis clinics, hospitals, nursing homes...From cradle to grave, fertility clinics to hospice, they're involved," says researcher Joseph Bruch. More and more of our economy and our lives teeter at the whims of these heartless and ruthlessly greedy billionaires who don't care how many ruined lives they leave in their wake — and it's up to our legislators to bring these ghouls under control.
