GoFundMe Immigration Bond ([link removed][UNIQID])

Despite the growing challenges of this pandemic, Border Angels remains determined to protect and support the community we have pledged to serve. Therefore, even though we are currently unable to accept physical donations, we are always accepting monetary donations to support:

1. Our Shelter Aid Program❤️: Especially now that we are unable to receive these items, we need your help to provide funds for groceries, hygiene products, utility bills, rent, clothes, etc.!

2. Familias Reunidas Bond Program👨‍👩‍👧: Given the severity of this outbreak, we NEED to get as many members out of the Otay Mesa Detention Center as we can, and with your help we can post bond for more individuals! (Link in highlights under Bond Program)

3. Water Drop Program
💧
: Even after having to postpone public water drops, our team is still constantly in the desert scouting and dropping the supplies necessary for survival. Their work never stops, because the need never stops.

Thank you for your continued support.🖤🦋

After careful consideration, due to the spread of COVID-19 and the current CDC recommendations regarding prevention and containment, we have elected to postpone the March 21st Water Drop until further notice. Everyone who has a spot this month will be guaranteed a spot when we do open this event again, and we will provide you with abundant notice as to any updated information regarding scheduling so you may plan in advance.

We understand these events fill very quickly, and many people have been waiting months to attend and are even traveling from out of state, this is not an easy decision to come to considering what is at stake regarding our mission, however ultimately we find practicing caution and prevention at this time to be of utmost importance. Though this is an outdoor event we travel by carpool for hours in close quarters, and lack the means for adequate hand sanitation in the desert, and there definitely is no way to ensure proper social distancing so we had to make this very tough call.

Thank you everyone for your dedication and support!! We look forward to seeing you in the desert very soon! Please let us know if you have any questions, concerns, or feedback. Community will always be how we persevere, and though we are not physically together we are united in mission and resistance. We appreciate you and are here for you. ✊🏽🌹

Immigration Grinds To A Halt As President Trump Shuts Borders

By Joel Rose

"At a press conference Wednesday, Trump said the southern border would not close completely. But the move would allow the administration to quickly deport asylum-seekers and other migrants who cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally without due process."

This is Why Trump Must Give Bailout Checks to Undocumented Immigrants
You simply cannot stop COVID-19 if undocumented immigrants have to go to work to survive.

By Daniel Newhauser

"WASHINGTON — Like many Americans, Rosalba, 40, is spending anxious days indoors, away from her restaurant job and without income. Both have vanished as fear of the novel coronavirus paralyzes the country.

Unlike other residents, she takes no comfort in President Donald Trump’s promises of free money. She and her husband are as petrified of contracting COVID-19 as anyone else, but as undocumented immigrants from Mexico, they have little hope the president will help them."
