Dear John,
It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.
Congratulations to President Donald Trump on his resounding win at the Iowa
caucuses! Iowans sent a clear message that they miss a secure southern border,
energy independence, a thriving economy, and respect on the world stage.
Because of the American First accomplishments of his first term, I have
endorsed President Trump and am encouraging everyone to unite behind him, beat
Joe Biden, and get America back on track.
Against the backdrop of the National March for Life in Washington, D.C., I'm
thrilled to announce the House's passage of my bill to secure funding for
pro-life pregnancy resource centers.The Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women
and Families Act prevents President Biden’s Department of Health and Human
Services from withholding funds vital to these centers. With its passage, House
Republicans are making it clear we will never abandon mothers, babies, and
unborn children to vindictive regulatory rules that would deny them access to
basic care. We are a pro-life majority that walks the walk and will fight the
pro-abortion agenda of the Biden-Harris administration.
I voted 'no' on the latest stopgap funding measure, the third short-term
spending bill in fiscal year 2024. It was a missed opportunity to address
pressing concerns, such as comprehensive border security funding and spending
cuts. I will continue working with my colleagues to tackle these issues and
more in comprehensive funding bills.
