Last week, I introduced the Job Protection for Quarantined Individuals Act of 2020, which would protect quarantined workers from being fired or punished by employers amid the coronavirus.
We need to do everything we can to lessen the fears in peoples’ minds. The health of their families and our community should be the number one priority.
That’s why me and many of my Senate colleagues want to provide clear protections for workers during this public health emergency — and why we’re fighting so hard to pass this critical piece of legislation.
No worker should feel like they need to go into work sick out of fear they might lose their job. We need everyone to prioritize their health and their families.
During this incredibly difficult time, I want you to know I am fighting for you. I am doing everything I can to be a fierce advocate for all Minnesotans.
