Despite the 90+ criminal charges he’s facing, along with pending state and federal litigation determining whether he is even an eligible candidate, Donald Trump maintains a commanding and comfortable lead above his closest primary competition. Neither Nikki Haley nor Ron DeSantis is likely to knock him off his pedestal.
So, what do we do? Well, President Biden handily defeated Trump in 2020 and we are still months out from the general election. As People For prepares to scale up our campaigns in key battleground states across the country, we’re confident that with your support we can continue laying the groundwork for another victory this November – and defeat Trump (and Trumpism) once again.

And on the off-chance Trump isn’t on the ballot this November – his radical ideology and dangerous contempt for democracy certainly will be. Here are just some recent examples of the ongoing threat that Trump poses to our nation:
- Despite the complete lack of evidence, Trump and his supporters continue to assert the wild conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was “stolen” from him.
- Trump has asserted on social media that he (and other presidents) must have “complete and total immunity” even for actions that “cross the line.”
- During a townhall on Fox News, Trump refused to say whether he would abuse his power in office and declared he would “only be a dictator on day one.”
We may have months to go, but investing in our proven campaigns and strategies now to defeat Trump and his authoritarian agenda is crucial to ensuring progressive victory in November.
